B. Elements of Program
a. Foundation
i. Philosophy: The Clermont Elementary Guidance Program believes that
ALL students and their individual needs will be considered in the planning
and implementation of the school guidance program. We believe that
services should be developmentally appropriate and based on the needs of
students determined by relevant data and the input of the educational
community. By using data we believe that services should be monitored for
effectiveness and modified accordingly.
ii. Mission Statement: The mission of the Clermont Elementary School
Guidance Program is to provide comprehensive and developmentally
appropriate guidance services to all students in the areas of academic, career
and social personal development. We as state certified guidance counselors
will advocate and provide services for the students of Clermont Elementary
using American School Counselor Association (ASCA) standards and
competencies. Services will be delivered in collaboration with the faculty
and staff of Clermont Elementary as well as the surrounding community.
