DIEBOLD CURRENCY PROCESSING SOFTWARE CERTIFIED FOR GAMING
NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Diebold Incorporated (NYSE:DBD), the exclusive
national supplier and servicer of Diebold/Toshiba currency sorting equipment, has
received regulatory approval from Gaming Laboratories International, Inc. (GLI) for its
gaming ticket software interface.
“This certification demonstrates our commitment to deliver high-speed currency
processors with high-level automation, accuracy and extensive reporting features that
result in significant productivity gains for large volume cash room operations,” said
Richard Baggot, vice president of Electronic Security and Currency Systems Group at
Diebold. “Our slot ticket interface will enable our customers to achieve increased
efficiency while providing their customers with the latest in gaming ticket technology.”
GLI is a premier gaming products and systems testing company. Since opening,
its interoperability center has received a very positive response from the gaming
industry, and currently houses systems and games from virtually every manufacturer.
The lab, where the newest technology in the gaming industry is tested, is currently
completing its second year of successful ticket-in/ticket-out testing for the Nevada
Gaming Control Board.
The GLI authorization applies to Advanced Casino Systems’ International
Gaming Technologies (IGT), Casino Data Systems (CDS) and Acres gaming accounting
software. These certifications represent the first regulatory approvals for Diebold’s new
gaming equipment and ticket software.

Diebold is currently installing its new ticket in/out software in numerous casinos.
The Diebold/Toshiba Single Pass 7560 high-speed currency processor is equipped with
a barcode scanner that automatically reads the serialization of paper tickets – even
when mixed with currency – in a single pass and forwards the data to a casino’s slot
accounting system for reconciliation.
The Single Pass system - widely recognized for its speed and accuracy - counts,
sorts and straps up to 40,000 notes per hour and processes 750 notes per minute with
two independent count verifications on a single pass.
