What We Offer: An environment that fosters growth, collaboration, and innovation as well as an opportunity to learn from forward thinking leaders Opportunities to lead projects, make meaningful changes, and contribute to process improvements in a team environment Innovative solutions to address the ever changing demands of health care What You’ll Do: Monitor every phase of a construction project from inception to sign off within an active hospital environment Effectively monitor contractors safety management program including PPE, ILSMs and ICRA Conceptualize projects and prepare feasibility studies for hospital administration Prepare space programs to meet the needs of user departments Coordinate the activities of outside architectural and engineering design consultants on larger projects Monitor the progress of moderate to difficult construction, relative to schedule, cost and quality Effectively monitor activities of construction schedule as the owner's representative Minimize the disruption to hospital patients, staff and service due to construction Review bid documents, drawings and coordinates pre-bid activities Conduct periodic project management meetings with architectural and engineering consultants, contractors, subcontractors and user clients Make timely decisions in the field as unexpected conditions arise Monitor contractor's performance for compliance with plans and specifications and applicable codes Review and approve applications for payment, change orders and purchase requisitions Determine the need for additional technical consulting Schedule shut downs, tie-ins ;and in-house activities with engineering Coordinate and schedule work with other departments Coordinate move-in activities with user departments move coordinators Maintain complete project files through project close out Inform superiors of status and issues of construction projects Examine construction work, reports findings, follows up with corrective work and prepares and monitors punch lists Responsible for managing costs to budget using standardized finance report Produce schematic and construction documents on Auto CAD for approval by user groups What You Need: College Graduate, Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements An Architect/Engineer or Construction manager with 5 to 10 yrs. healthcare experience, or equivalent institutional facilities management department experience of 5 to 7 yrs.
