Undergraduate Behavior Analysis Program
New Undergraduate Behavior Analysis Course Sequence
Effective FALL 2014
The undergraduate behavior analysis course sequence needed to fulfill the coursework requirements for taking
the Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) exam will consist of the courses below. The course
sequence meets Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) 2015 requirements for certification and is based
on the BACB 4th Edition Task List. Approval by the BACB of EAB 4798 and PSY 4931 (the Behavior Analysis
topic only) is expected by Fall 2014. The current course sequence will meet the requirements for exams
administered in 2014 only.
EAB 3002
Introduction to the Experimental Analysis of Behavior (3 credits)
Prerequisites: PSY 2012
Note: This is a prerequisite course for the remaining courses and may not be taken concurrently
with any other course in the sequence.
EAB 4794
Principles and Theories of Behavior Modification (3 credits)
Prerequisite: EAB 3002
Note: May be taken concurrently with EAB 4798
EAB 3765
The Application of Behavior Analysis to Child Behavior Problems (3 credits)
Prerequisite: EAB 3002
Note: May be taken concurrently with EAB 4798 or PSY 4931
EAB 4798
Single Case Research Methods (3 credits)
Prerequisite: EAB 3002
Note: May be taken concurrently with EAB 4794 or EAB 3765 or PSY 4931
PSY 4931:
Senior Seminar in Behavior Analysis (2 credits)
Prerequisite: EAB 4798 & EAB 4794 or EAB 3765
Note: Only sections with the description “Behavior Analysis” may be take to fulfill the BCaBA
requirements. Can be taken concurrently with EAB 4798 or EAB 3765
RECOMMENDED SCHEDULES:
Students who wish to take more than one course in the sequence during a single semester are advised to
complete the sequence in an order consistent with one of the schedules below. Students are strongly advised
to avoid taking more than one course in the sequence over the summer.
Fall – EAB 3002
Spring – EAB 4794 or EAB 3765 & 4798
Summer – 3765 or EAB 4794
Fall – PSY 4931
OR
Fall – EAB 3002
Spring – EAB 4794 or EAB 3765 & 4798
Fall – PSY 4931 & EAB 3765 or EAB 4798
