9.2
From time to time the physical resources (equipment or materials or both) to
meet a particular teaching demand will not be held by the school. This then
involves the post holder in identifying suitable external suppliers and arranging
their delivery. At times this may involve simple a simple ordering process but at
others (e.g. due to budget constraints or the fact that this is a one-off need) the
post holder may, for example, have to liaise with non-commercial sources, such as
other schools, in order to identify someone who is willing to lend the school the
requisite resources. This calls for a greater degree of initiative and inter-personal
skills than is required by a normal ordering process and is also more timeconsuming
