The minutes of July 19, 2011 prepared by the Recording Clerk and upon reviewing the minutes with the following corrections(Trustee Bogner was not absent and changed the date from August to July for the confined training) a motion was made by Mayor Mink seconded by Trustee Henry voted upon and unanimously carried, as prepared and placed on file. Treasurer Gurewitch prepared and submitted to the Commission, the Operation and Maintenance Treasurer’s Report of July. A motion was made by Mayor Mink, seconded by Trustee Henry, to accept the treasurer report, subject to audit, voted upon and unanimously carried. The following bills were presented to the Commission for their audit and were approved for payment on motion made by, Mayor Mink seconded by Trustee Bogner voted upon and unanimously carried-they were allowed as follows: Operation and Maintenance Abstract #3, check #’s 1771- 1794vouchers 951-1013, Total Abstract $16,539.37 $745.52 will be transferred from contingency JG1990.4 to sludge Hauling JG8130.442 per Board Motion. Old Business 1. 2. The ad for Chief Waste Water Operator will be advertised in the NYWEA (New York Water Environmental Association) which is published quarterly. Per Kathy Post at Human Resources (Civil Service) the test for Chief Waste water Operator has been ordered. Waiting for Albany to set the date, possibly not until the year 2012. Environmental Labs has been taken over by Spectrum Analytical, Inc. of Agawam, MA.(This Company fulfills our Environmental Analytical testing) Attached are two proposals for the Friendly Village Pump Station project on Rte. 96, Manchester, N.Y. One from MCHALE EXCAVATING SERVICES for $6,900.00 and one from BOB HELSTROM’S BACKHOE SERVICE. The project consists of excavating and replacing ductile iron piping exposing between the pump station and the valve pit. Joint Sewer will provide the materials. Mayor Mink motioned to hire BOB HELSTROM’S BACKHOE SERVICE for the project costing $4500.00, seconded by Trustee Trimm. Voted upon and carried unanimously. Mayor Mink motioned to increase the authorization to initiate purchase requisitions for the Chief Operator (currently Gordon Eddington) from $500.00 to $2000.00 directly and prior approval for amounts greater than $2000.00, seconded by Trustee Henry, , voted upon and carried unanimously. Gordon Eddington reported that Steve Smith is going to take the Small Waste Water Plant course on line. On August 24th, Gordon will assist in finding the sewer line at 29 High St in Shortsville. Mayor Mink motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Trustee Henry voted and carried unanimously at 7:30PM : Respectfully, Sandra J.
