2014 JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM
Dear Parents:
This year's Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to
11:00 p.m. at Merion Caterers in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. We would like to eliminate any possible
problems at this formal dance. Every student who plans to attend the dance and their parents/guardians
must read the list of rules and regulations printed on the back of this form. By signing below you and your
parent/guardian agree to abide by these rules. Any student not returning this paper, signed by a
parent or guardian, will not be permitted to purchase a ticket. A signed form must also be presented
for non-Deptford students when purchasing tickets. Tickets may be purchased in E101 April 9-16,
2014 during lunch periods and after school until 2:30. Students may not get out of class to purchase
tickets. Passes will not be given. Tickets are CASH ONLY and the cost is $80.00 per person.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Students with 3 or more suspensions will NOT be permitted to attend the prom.
2. Students must attend 5 periods to be counted present for the day. You may sign out after
11:30, however, you must follow the normal procedure for early release (signed out by a
parent/guardian). If you are a senior in co-op or a senior taking college courses, you may
leave at your schedule time (unless it conflicts with the prom assembly). Any student who
has not met the attendance requirement by May 1, 2014 will not be eligible to participate in
prom. Sign-out for prom will be in the new gym lobby.
3. Smoking is NOT permitted inside or outside the banquet hall at anytime during the prom.
4. No one will be admitted to the prom one-half hour after it begins. We will close the doors
at 7:30 p.m.
5. Any student who is found in possession or under the influence of alcohol or other illegal
substance (on his/her person or in the vehicle in which they arrive) will be turned over to
the police, and will be subject to additional disciplinary action by the school.
6. Students are to remain at the prom until 11:00 p.m.
7. There will be no refunds for tickets and/or other costs if students are absent from school,
arrive late (#4), or are sent home from school for disciplinary reasons the day of the
prom and are told not to attend that evening.
8. Tickets will be sold on an individual basis for Deptford High School students, grades 11 and
12. There will be NO refunds for tickets purchased after ticket sales end.
9. NO date changing for students bringing non-Deptford students or underclassmen
(Grades 9/10) after ticket sales end.
10. Payment and/or participation in this activity does not constitute that the student will
graduate or participate in the commencement exercises.
11. Middle School students are NOT permitted to attend the prom. Students over the age of
21 may not attend the prom.
12.All students must have their student ID/license upon entrance to the Prom.
13.The Administration reserves the right to deny any student/guest from participation in this
event.
14.Appropriate behavior is expected at all times, including on the dance floor. Students
exhibiting inappropriate behavior/dancing will be removed and a parent/guardian will be
called to take you home. In addition, the student may face additional disciplinary action by
the school.
15.Footwear must be worn at all times. No bare fee or socks only.
16.Deptford High School students must attend the scheduled prom assembly.
17.Students in a loss of good student standing may not attend the prom.
