Students receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in the School of Technology (i.e.: Industrial
Technology, Technology, including 2+2) will be technologically literate and competent to support, utilize and manage complex technological systems. Those graduates who choose to be educators
( i.e.: Technology Education Major) will guide students toward technological literacy in accordance with adopted national and state guidelines, and standards for licensure.

To provide comprehensive knowledge and skills in the areas of
Manufacturing Systems, Electronics and Digital Systems, Computer Aided Design and
Animation, Materials and Processes, Automation Systems, and Technology Management.
2.
To provide students with a broad education in Technology and Industrial Technology that will enable them to successfully seek emerging jobs and careers.
3.
To provide students with high-technology knowledge and skills to succeed in the changing knowledge economy.
1.
Graduating students will take the National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT)
Certification Exam. This exam will provide the students the status of Certified Industrial

Technologists (CIT).
Graduating students choosing the Technology Education profession will take the Praxis I, II, and III exams.
1.
75% of the students taking the National Association of Industrial Technology Certification
Exams will pass the CIT exam on the first attempt leading to the status of Certified Industrial
Technologist.
2.
100% of the students receiving the TECH-Ed. Licensure for teaching will pass the Praxis III exam.
