Gardiner Dam Terminal (GDT) is a joint venture between local area producers and
Viterra Inc. located in central Saskatchewan. GDT operates an inland grain terminal located between the towns of Strongfield and Loreburn as well as two crop input retails located near Broderick, SK and at Tullis, SK (between Lucky Lake and Birsay). Reporting to the AgServices Manager, the Ag Facility Assistant is responsible to complete all aspects of Ag Facility operations, including administrative duties and supporting of sales functions.
Key responsibilities:
Receiving, processing, warehousing and shipping of farm supplies.
Processing of documentation for crop input retail sales.
Completing grain transactions regarding incoming and outgoing grain samples and shipments.
Contracting and timely delivery of grain to meet quality expectations.
Providing day to day customer service to all GDT customers both in person and over the phone.
General office duties including answering telephone and directing calls, filing, and photocopying.
Maintaining the standards and established procedures of the ISO9002 and HACCP management systems.
Qualifications:
Team-oriented, self-starter
Minimum of Grade 12 education with 2 years experience in crop input retail or an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and experience.
Strong organization & time-management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Agronomic training and/or experience would be an asset.
A valid driver’s license & copy of driver's abstract.
