Producer Services Representative - Strongfield, SK
Gardiner Dam Terminal (GDT) is a joint venture between local area producers and
Viterra Inc. located in central Saskatchewan. GDT operates an inland grain terminal
located between the towns of Strongfield and Loreburn as well as two crop input retails
located near Broderick, SK and at Tullis, SK (between Lucky Lake and Birsay). The
terminal is a 17,000 tonne facility which cleans to export standards and ships 112-car
unit trains. Reporting to the Marketing & Logistics Manager, the Producer Services
Representative will be responsible for customer contact, grain sourcing and retail sales
of farm supply products.
Key responsibilities:
 Contracting and timely delivery of grain to meet quality expectations.
 Retail sales of crop nutrition and protection products.
 Provide friendly/quality customer service.
 Proactively maintain customer contacts through farm visits and phone calls.
Qualifications:
 Team-oriented, self-starter
 Minimum of Grade 12 education with 2 years experience in crop input retail and/or grain elevator
operations or an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and experience.
 Strong organization & time-management skills.
 Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
 Agronomic training and/or experience would be an asset.
 A valid driver’s license & copy of driver's abstract.
