JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: MANAGER, Special Projects DIVISION: Health Services Group JOB GROUP: Band 6/Executive Officer Level 1 JOB PURPOSE To lead and manage special health collaboration projects by working cooperatively across and outside the health services group in order to meet organisational objectives. Lead the business program development of Pharmacy including relationships with claims management, medical specialists and pharmacists on clinical pharmacy matters to ensure best and efficient access to pharmacy care by workers and clients Lead an IT interface program that supports Pharmacy to ensure a streamlined approach to pharmacy approvals Lead the business program development of Chronic Pain packages of care to ensure best and efficient access to chronic pain care by workers, clients and GPs. ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to Director Health Services Operations Directly manages VWA x 1 TBA TAC Claims Manager Specialist Pharmacy x2 Internal contacts CEO Group Senior Managers (Health, Claims, Legal, Finance) Claims staff Legal Medical Convenors External contacts Professional associations and industry peak bodies eg Pharmacy Guild Consumer groups Other motor accident authorities and workers compensation insurers DIMENSIONS/DELEGATION Number of direct/indirect reports 2 Budget responsibility TAC/Worksafe Pharmacy $24M TAC/Worksafe Pain Program TBA KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Create a direct point of contact for Pharmacy providers Lead formal and informal relationship building programs with peak bodies and professional associations Oversee the development of Pharmacy strategy in conjunction with claims operations teams to ensure optimum outcomes for TAC/Worksafe. Develop and oversee an outlier management program for pharmacy providers to ensure optimal outcomes of clients and workers Oversee the development and commercial requirements of a “preferred” arrangement for chronic pain programs.
