JOB SUMMARY:
1.1
To ensure the best possible treatment and management of patients in the care
of the post-holder and the wider clinical team.
1.2
To play a lead role in the clinical education activity of the department.
1.3
To actively participate in the Directorate and Programme-wide clinical
management activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
2.1
To fulfill the agreed Consultant work plan for the post. Details available on
Directorate and specialty specific basis.
2.2
To comply with published Consultant on-call rosters as agreed with the
Clinical Director.
2.3
To actively participate in all Directorate clinical, education and management
activities.
2.4
Through leadership of the clinical team to actively develop and improve
services.
2.5
To undertake any additional duties requested by the Clinical Director
Programme Management.
HOURS OF WORK:
48 hours per week plus on-call commitment.

Well developed clinical leadership and teaching skills.
4.2.2
Ability to initiate and achieve service development.
4.2.3
Capacity for working effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multinational environment.
Experience:

Member of Royal Colleges or equivalent (e.g. Saudi Board).
Five (5) years post membership experience and evidence of training in
any relevant sub-specialty.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

As laid down by the Hospital Programme and subject for amendment.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the category indicated above.
