Health Informatics Trainer
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Development and Training on the Nexus Database
ACCOUNTABLE TO:
IT & EC Health Informatics Manager for Help Desk
and Implementation Issues
IT & EC Director for policy, special projects,
Personnel and all other issues.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY:
The IT & EC Trainer/Implementer will be responsible for developing all Nexus
database and training of Medical, Nursing and Registration staff.
2.0
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITES:
2.1
Managerial Responsibilities:

Will be a member of the IT & EC Directorate Steering Group.
Any other managerial tasks as assigned by the Health Informatics Manager.
Technical Responsibilities (In conjunction with the Health Informatics Manager)

Development
Development and Implementation of the Nexus software
Review and updating of procedures and processes.
2.2.2
Help Desk
Provide database and application knowledge in support of the help desk
function.

Preparation of desktop work instructions where appropriate.

HOURS OF WORK
48 hours a week.

REQUIREMENTS
4.1
Qualifications or Relevant Experience:
4.1.1 Bachelor degree from a recognized university.
4.2
Personal Qualities:
4.2.1
4.3
The IT & EC Trainer/Implementor should be capable of working unsupervised
following guidelines laid down by the IT & EC Directorate. He/she should
preferably have had experience of living and working in the Middle East.
Experience
4.3.1
Have at least three years experience Nursing in a busy General Hospital.
4.3.2
Have a working experience of Nexus Applications.
4.3.3
Previous experience with other PC based
