Course description :
Analysis of college success factors and learning styles of student achievement.
Development of strategies for success in educational and work environment.
Organizing tasks involved when studying and the tools to do it.

In addition to meeting the criteria and receive credit for this class you must also obtain the

You must obtain a total of 75 points to pass this class.

Please note: if you were to be absent from class it is your responsibility to
contact a classmate and update yourself on what you might have missed on
that particular class session. Although you might have been absent from
class, you are still expected to turn in any assignment that might be due on
the following session.
I do not accept late assignments!

Attendance Policy



Attendance is required at all classes
Tardies = (more than 10 minutes late will result in -2 points)
Leaving early without being excused will result in -2 points

1. College Success Factors (week 2)
2. Your weekly Schedule (due on 11/10/09)
3. Your self-analysis (Due on November 12, 2009)
Looking back at your life as a student, write about 5 areas you wish to improve
on. (i.e., attendance, study habits, friends grades, interactions with others, attitude,
interest, goals, time, management, writing, family involvement, etc…) first state
the problems, and then write a paragraph on how you want the outcome to be.
Please be as specific as possible. MINIMUM 2 PAGES TYPED.
4. Goals setting Assignment/ goal cards (due on 11/17/09)
5. Interview with college professor (due on 11/19/09)
6. Time Mangement/quadrants (due on 11/24/09)
7. Sharing Your Wisdom (due on 12/01/09)
Write a letter to a new college student. Tell him/ her how they can be successful
students. Share five or more specific strategies you have learned in Counseling11.
Talk about the mistakes you made as a student and what you have learned to do
differently. Share your wisdom. 2+ pages double-spaced
