Volunteer Opportunities at Canine Companions for
Independence Southeast Regional Center:
Volunteer Puppy Raising and Foster Sitting - This is where the
miracles begin! Raise one of the puppies from our breeding program
and provide basic obedience and socialization for 14-16 months.
Office Assistance - Work with our dedicated staff at the Regional
Center in a professional yet casual office. Volunteers with general
office and computer skills needed to assist with mailings, data entry,
filing, answering phones, and general organization.
Graphic Arts and Web Support - Do you have advanced graphic
arts skills or Website design experience? We are always in need of
people with artistic skills to help us design and create brochures,
flyers, web pages, T-shirt designs and other artistic projects!
Event Support - Groups as well as individuals can help support our
events! CCI has events throughout the year that rely on volunteer
support and leadership. Have fun and meet wonderful people while
helping CCI fulfill its Mission. There are quarterly graduation
ceremonies, gala fundraisers, as well as outreach booths and
presentations to spread the word about CCI. Jobs include event
planning committee, event set-up and take-down, gift shop sales,
refreshment providers, event registration, outreach, photographer
and videographer, graphic artist, and many others.
Fundraising - CCI is always looking for ways of improving our
visibility in and around the communities we serve. Help us raise
awareness and money to be used to make miracles happen!
Team Training Lunch Providers - Are you looking for a group
project? Students and their families stay on campus for two weeks
to attend daily training classes, where they are taught how to work
with their Canine Companions. Many wonderful volunteers provide
and serve lunches for the class during team Trainings.
Photography and Videography - Do you love to take pictures?
You can help us keep records of all the events held at the Southeast
Regional campus and provide lasting memories for years to come at
Team Training.
Campus Docents - Train to become a docent by learning the
history and program of CCI to guide campus tours.
