9:30-9:40 PM. Discussion on Alumni Mentoring
Shaun: Deans want to work on it, monthly lunch with prominent alumni
connected with Food For Thought
Chad: didn’t know existed so not working, knew an alumnus and didn’t even
know it, would be great for areas that aren’t DC and NYC
Andrew: worried nothing would actually happen, maybe start with OCS doing an
event that brings them together
Zac: Andrew’s is good idea, need strong leadership. EIW sucked because these
people are interviewing so many people, can’t stand out. This would have you stand out
to people.
Chris: would be more interested in practice area mentorship
Ashley: with regional circles, don’t ignore international community
Tiffany: is there a current database? Shaun: yes, but they have to opt in and
there’s not a lot on it. Administration is working with LinkedIn because way more have
identified Georgetown Law.
Justin: can search by yourself. Can search by law school on almost every firm’s
website.
Arthur: as Peer Advisor, have mixed quality of interactions. Anything that would
supplement that would be helpful.
