The Department The production of high quality standard and bespoke RFPs and preparation of presentation materials - in conjunction with investment teams and distribution channels - to demanding deadlines, is a key element of the marketing and client service process for our retail, institutional, hedge and investment trust businesses. The RFP and Presentations team is responsible for the creation of pitch and due diligence materials together with production of standard and bespoke presentations. Individuals on the team specialise in either RFPs, presentations or consultant databases and work closely with senior sales and investment team members. Overview of the Role The team is responsible for the creation of pitch/tender and due diligence materials for Henderson’s fixed income, equity and hedge fund products across both retail and institutional distribution teams globally. The RFP Associate will take responsibility for standard and more complex and high profile RFPs/DDQs. Responsibilities will include: Work on standard and more complex/high profile RFPs Keep the RFP database updated with recent responses Assist in writing new content Maintain and organise the team RFP directory Review and proof read the work produced by other team members Technical Skills & Qualifications Required At least 2 years proven RFP experience within an asset management company Experience of completing both retail and institutional documents Experience across different asset classes; equities, fixed income and absolute return/hedge funds Educated to degree level Strong English, Mathematics, Finance and/or Economics qualifications Strong writing skills and competent use of grammar Computer literate (advanced Word and Excel) Competencies Required Organisational and multi-tasking skills Leadership The ability to work within a team environment, adapting to different teams as appropriate Coping with high pressure/deadline driven environments Highly self motivated Fast thinking, excellent communication skills Professionalism & enterprise/innovation Team spirit & collaboration Strong attention to detail/quality of work Commercial awareness
