I am writing to request the completion of the above collection for the period above. The data returned should be based at organisational level. This collection has been approved by the
Review of Central Returns Steering Committee – ROCR.
The information obtained from the K041(a) collection monitors written Hospital and Community
Health Service complaints (by service area and type) received by the NHS each year. It also supports the commitment given in Equity and Excellence to improve the Patient Experience by listening to the public voice. This information is published annually in a statistical bulletin. The lat est is “Data on written complaints in the NHS” and can be found at the following web address: http://www.ic.nhs.uk/statistics-and-data-collections/audits-and-performance/complaints
The data required for this collection are as follows:
Part 1 - complaints by service area
Part 2 - complaints by profession
Part 3 - complaints by subject of complaint
Part 4 - complaints by ethnic category of patient
Part 5 - complaints by ethnic category of staff involved
Part 6 - comments
This collection will be made via a web based collection tool called Omnibus, and an email will be sent in early April with following:
