CENTER GROVE HIGH SCHOOL
ATHLETIC AWARDS
FRESHMAN AWARDS
Upon successfully completing a freshman level sport, the student-athlete will receive:
 Numerals will be presented after the completion of the first high school sport.
 A laser embossed certificate for the second and/or third season of participation.
JUNIOR VARSITY AWARDS
Upon successfully completing a junior varsity level sport, the student-athlete will receive:
 A laser embossed certificate for the first and any subsequent reserve awards
VARSITY AWARDS
Upon successfully completing a varsity level sport, the student-athlete will receive:
 8” Chenille CG Letters after the first varsity award.
 A Chevron for each varsity letter earned.
 One Sport Insignia for each different varsity sport. (To be sewn onto the CG letters)

MIC SCHOLAR ATHLETE AWARD
This certificate is presented to student athletes that have achieved and maintained a
cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better from the previous grading period.
LASER PORTRAIT PLAQUE
Presented to athletes lettering four years in the same sport.
BLANKET AWARD

Presented at the Senior Awards Banquet for successfully earning eight or more varsity
letters, during their four years at Center Grove.

Student Athletes participating at the IHSAA state finals level will be awarded a laser
embossed certificate in a certificate jacket.



CHAMPIONSHIP PATCHES
Available for purchase via varsity head coach.
CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS
Members of the IHSAA State Championship or Runner–up Teams or individual IHSAA
Champions or a Runner- up will be awarded a ring.
In accord with the newly adopted award system, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors may
purchase prior corresponding awards in the Athletic Department, as follows:
