Free Household Disposal
Packing Material and Rechargeable Batteries
The Operations Facility at 37th Street and D Avenue will accept for
free, the disposal of packing material and small rechargeable batteries.
Brand name alkaline batteries such as Duracell or Energizer are all
made in the USA and are OK to place in your garbage can. Packing
material includes large Styrofoam pieces, plastic bubble wrap and
packaging peanuts. We require that all loose packing material be
bagged and tied closed.
Please check in at the Operations office, Monday through Friday, 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper and
plastics are excluded from this service and should be placed out for
pick up by Republic Services.
