Irish Night in the Sciobol Ballintubber every Thursday night from 9p.m-11p.m for the
month of August. Tea & refreshments served. A good night is guaranteed.
Tourmakeady Water Scheme payment 2012. Please would everyone who is on the
scheme please pay €75 which would help us support the agreement that we made with
Mayo County Council to part pay the water charge for this year which overall is €150
for the year. Please be assured that we are working with the Council to ensure that
there will be no interruption with the water supply. It would help us greatly though
if payment could be made as soon as possible at the Post Office. Thank you.
Ceilí in Partry Community Centre on Saturday August 25th . Carousel Ceilí Band.
Heritage Day will take place on Saturday August 25th from 11a.m-5.30p.m in Maam
Community Centre. Activities include Arts, Crafts, Bread & Butter Making, Music, Song
and Dance etc.
Admission €10 includes lunch and entertainment. All Welcome. (091 571108 for

Partry Heritage and Family Fun Day
Sunday August 26th from 12 noon to 5p.m at Partry House. Partry Heritage day
bigger and better than before. Lots of Arts, Crafts, Music, Dance, Competitions, Games
Vintage and Heritage items on display. Beautiful setting on the shore of Lough Carra on
the grounds of Party House. Please support this parish event. A great day out with all
your family and friends. Dress up old style for the fun.

Practical Care Skills Course – Care of the Elderly – Fetac Level 5 .If you are working
with older people this accredited course will be a huge advantage to you.

Club Siúlóide Thuar Mhic Éadaigh (Walking club) - Meet this Wednesday at 8 p.m. at
the Halla Thuar Mhic Éadaigh. Walkers are reminded to wear visible, reflective

Bonus number
The latest winners of Tourmakeady Hall bonus number draw are Martin & Margaret
Lally and Ann Staunton both winners receive €100 each for having number 06. Next
draw Saturday at 8 o’clock. Your continued support of the community hall is very
much appreciated and is helping us to reduce the loan.
Welfare Officer
A social welfare officer will be in attendance every Thursday between 12 noon and 1
p.m. at the Medical Centre, Tourmakeady.
Weekly bus service to Castlebar
Don’t forget that there is a weekly bus service to Castlebar. Take the hassle out of
driving into town. There is a bus every Friday leaving O’Toole’s at 10.30 a.m. Free
passes are accepted. It is open to all. Other collection points are available. It returns at
approximately 3 p.m.
The National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) are holding their Annual Church
Gate Collection this Weekend for the Blind. Please be as generous as you can
Lough Derg Pilgrimage. A bus will leave Cong on Saturday 1st September for one day
retreat on Lough Derg. The cost is €52.00. This covers bus, coffee and lunch. For

Fundraiser: An Irish night will be held by Cillian O'Connor in Kate Kelly's this Saturday
night at 9.30pm in Aid of the Niall Mellon .
Organisation. Cillian is hoping to travel with the Niall Mellon trust to South Africa in
