CAESAR OBITUARY
Using the information from your Julius Caesar biography reading, notes and
textbook, your assignment is to write an obituary for Julius Caesar. Your task is
to capture the true legacy of Julius Caesar; however, you MUST also write it from
your assigned point of view/newspaper.

The Roman Times – An established and well-respected newspaper that
tries to accurately place events into the “big picture.”

The Hill Review – The newspaper of the Senate that carries all of the
contemporary news that their constituency, the patricians, wants to read
and be informed about.

The People’s Tribune – This underground newspaper caters to the Roman
mob and tries to cover the events in Rome as they affect the lives of the
everyday common laborer.

The Gallic Post – This newspaper is officially banned by the Roman
government, but remains readily available in Gaul, Germany, and Britain.
It brings the news of Rome to the ever-rebellious tribes of Gaul.
Your obituary should be written in a style similar to newspapers today.
Make sure to include all of the necessary information and “proper
slant.” Be professional, this could be one of the most important
writings of your career. Happy writing 
