Obituary: Clate RICHARDS
Clate Richards, 67
Clate Arvil Richards, Rt. 1, Dunnville, died Sept. 10, 1982 at the Ephraim McDowell
Hospital in Danville. He was 67 years old.
Mr. Richards was born in Casey County on Mar. 7, 1915, the son of Leslie and Mattie
Bell Richards. He was married to Mary Etta Rubarts on June 29, 1946. She survives.
He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was also a member of Green River
Valley Baptist Church.
Surviving besides his wife are: two sons, Marshall of Lexington and Garry of
Slaughters, Ky; one brother, Carl Richards of Cincinnati; two half-brothers, Charles Bell
of Liberty and Eddie Bell of Cincinnati; one half-sister, Joyce Richards of Lexington; and
three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 13 at the Green River Valley Baptist Church with Bro.
Terry Sullivan and Jim Thorpe officiating. Burial was in the Green River Cemetery.
McKinney-Brown Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
