To achieve recognition at Certificate I level, the candidate for recognition must demonstrate
competency in 3 core units (total of 3 units).
The unit CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry is the nationally recognised
unit that underpins the awarding of the ‘white card’ that is mandatory for entering any worksite.

Certificate II in Cleaning Operations
This qualification is designed to support candidates undertaking pre-vocational programs or
those who are entering the workforce to undertake routine cleaning work under close
supervision.
Packaging Rules
To achieve recognition at Certificate II level, the candidate for recognition must demonstrate
competency in all 3 core units plus 8 elective units (total of 11 units).
Please note that the core contains an alternative OHS units. It is necessary for only one of the
two to be selected. The unit CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry is the
nationally recognised unit that underpins the awarding of the ‘white card’ that is mandatory for
entering any worksite.
Of the 8 elective units:
 a minimum of 6 units from the elective units listed below.
 a maximum of two elective units in Certificate II may be selected from any other approved
Training Package as long as it is not the same or similar to those units listed below.
 a maximum of two elective units may be drawn from the Certificate III in Cleaning
Operations.

Certificate III in Cleaning Operations
This qualification is designed to support cleaners working in a broad range of cleaning contexts
requiring specialist and comprehensive skills.
The candidate will typically be working under supervision although this may not be always
provided onsite but can also be provided by the oversight of area supervisors or managers
visiting the site on occasion but providing advice and support by telephone.
Packaging Rules
To achieve recognition at Certificate III level, the candidate must demonstrate competency in all
4 core units plus 15 elective units (total of 19 units).
Of the 15 elective units:
 a minimum of 7 units must be selected from the electives listed below
 a maximum of 6 units not previously completed may drawn from Certificate II in Cleaning
Operations
 a maximum of 3 relevant and previously uncompleted units may be drawn from Certificate III
or Certificate IV qualifications in other sectors of this training package, or from other
approved Training Packages – these units may not be similar to each other or to any other
selected or previously completed unit.

Certificate IV in Cleaning Management
This qualification is designed to support candidates who have responsibility as team leaders,
supervisors and as owner managers of their own cleaning and carpet cleaning businesses.
Packaging Rules
To achieve recognition in this qualification the candidate must demonstrate competency in all 8
core units plus 5 elective units (total of 13 units).
Of the five electives the units:
 a maximum of three units may be chosen from the elective list below
 a maximum of five units may be drawn from Qualifications at the Certificate IV level from
the Business Services Training Package (other than those listed in the core or those that
are equivalent to these units)
 a maximum of two units may be drawn from any other endorsed Training Package at
Certificate IV or Diploma level
 a maximum of one unit may be drawn from Certificate III from within the CPP07 Property
Services Training Package.
