REQUEST FOR RECOGNITION OF A LANGUAGE CERTIFICATE AS AN
ENTRY QUALIFICATION FOR ENGLISH (L3) STUDIES
The person mentioned below is requesting the recognition of an external language certificate as an entry qualification for
English (L3) studies and a dispensation from the internal English entry test of the PH/HEP Fribourg.
Conditions for granting recognition:
Documented evidence that the language certificate is internationally recognized, standardized, no older than 5 years and reflecting
language competencies at the B2 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference – CEFR) in the following
areas:

Listening comprehension

Reading comprehension

Speaking
The following diplomas and test scores will be accepted as reflecting a B2 level:
 Cambridge Proficiency English (CPE)
 Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
 Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE)
 IELTS test with a score of 5 and higher
 TOEFL test with a score of at least 513 (paper based), 183 (computer based) or 65 internet based
Regular language course confirmations and/or evaluations will not be recognized as equivalent.
