Rules:
Current USA Swimming Rules and Florida Gold Coast rules will govern this meet.
Safety rules as outlined by USA Swimming and as recommended by the referee, will be in effect.
Pool:
25 Yard heated outdoor pool, eight (8) lanes short-course racing course. Plus ten lanes short-course warm
up/ warm down. Colorado Timing will be used. Water depth at competition start end of pool varies from
12’.0 ft 4’.6’ ft. This pool is not certified for short course in accordance with 104.2.2c (4). Times achieved
are valid for FGC JO qualifications purposes only.
Dates & Times: Session I –Sizzler- Saturday – November 5, 2011. Warm-up 7:30 AM. Meet Starts 9:00 AM
Session II – Saturday – November 5, 2011. Warm-up 7:30 AM. Meet Starts 15 Mins after Session 1
Session III –Sunday – November 6, 2011. Warm-up 7:30 A.M. Meet Starts 9:00 AM
*Timelines will be distributed to all teams in advance of the competition
NOTE: Meet management reserves the right to adjust start time times of sessions to ensure an efficient meet with
approval of the Age group Chair and notification of all entered clubs. If the Single session exceeds the 4 hour rule
the 13 & Over will be moved to a separate session starting one hour after the completion of the morning session.
Eligibility-Open to all 2011 USA Swimming registered athletes in Miami-Dade & Monroe Counties, and teams
outside the FGC and foreign athletes with proper travel credential that have been invited by USA swimming, who
have not achieved a Junior Olympic time in the event in which he/she is entered in. or FGC Senior Champ
qualifying time in the event in which he/she is entered in. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a
USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within
the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s
legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement - USA Swimming Rule 202.3.3
Entry Deadline: Entries Close- Tuesday, November 1, 2011
Disability:
Swimmers with a disability are welcome to enter this meet. The coach or entry chairperson must alert the
meet director, as to the need for any special accommodations or seeding arrangements at the time the entry
is submitted.
Entry Limit:
Individual Events : 4 individual events per day
Relays: Unlimited.
Entry Procedure: ELECTRONIC ENTRIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Entries should be sent via email to:
maccoach27@aol.com. Mailed and hand delivered disks will be accepted. Corrupt, unreadable, or incorrectly
Formatted files must be retransmitted within 24 hours of the entry deadline. Errors in entries submitted electronically
Are the responsibility of the applicant. Submission of electronic entries certifies that all entered swimmers are
USA Registered. Entry fees for non-electronic entries are double the regular fees.
NON Electronic Entries – Valid USA Swimming numbers
Must be included for ALL USA Swimming Registered athletes.
Foreign athletes must include birth date.

All paper entries are doubled the entry fee and swimmers surcharge.

Distance Events: The 500 Free, 1650 Free & 400 IM are positive Check-in events. Positive check-in closes one hour
before the start of the event. Heats are Swam Fastest to Slowest.
Seeding:
Eligible entries shall be seeded in the following order - Short Course Yards followed by Short Course
Meters followed by Long Course Meters.
Deck Entries:
THE FGC DECK SEED POLICY WILL BE IN EFFECT. Deck entries permitted into open lanes only on a
first-come-first-serve basis. Deadline for deck entries is 30 min. before start of meet. Policy can be seen at
www.fgcswim.org All deck entered swimmers must present current USA Swimming Card in order to be
entered (OR) Swimmers may register with USA Swimming on deck 30 mines prior to a session.
