Sanction #MD13/14-010 Hosted By: Arena Club Aquatics Location: Facility: Eligibility: Entries: Entries: Entry Fees: Magnolia Middle School 299 Fort Hoyle Road Joppa, Maryland 21085 Magnolia Middle School has an indoor 6 lane 25 yard pool. The facility has fully automatic timing, scoreboard, horn start, non-turbulent lane dividers and a separate spectator seating area. The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with article 103.2.3, is 10’10” at the start end and 3’6” at the turn end. A seeding area with a Clerk-of-Course will be used during the meet for the 10 & Under events and staged in the gymnasium. The gymnasium will be available for teams to sit during the meet. The competition course has not been certified with USA Swimming This meet is open to all USA Swimming registered swimmers. Swimmer’s age as of November 22, 2013 will apply for the entire meet. No entrant will be permitted to compete unless that entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302 of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations. The swimmer's age as of November 22, 2013 shall apply for the entire meet. Swimmers are limited to a maximum of Three Individual Events per session. All entries must be submitted in Short Course Yard Times. Time standards for the meet are 2013-2016 USA Swimming ‘B’ SCY Times and faster. Converted times are not acceptable. All Individual and Relay Entries must be submitted by email with accompanying Meet Manager file and printouts. Open to all USA registered swimmers from the following MD LSC teams ONLY: ACA, BAAC, CGA, CAST, FSC, FCY, GTAC, HUSH, HCY, JCC, MAS, SPRC Checks for Entry Fees should be made payable to the ACA FUND and mailed with Entry Forms to: Sam Lapan 135 Dumbarton Road Apartment B. The Meet director reserves the right to limit entries or cancel events to stay within the time constraints of the meet. $6.50 for each Individual Event $16.00 for each relay $7.50 for each deck entry of an individual event Deck entries allowed only for athletes already entered in the meet at the discretion of the meet director. Entry Deadline: Rules: The Meet Director must receive all entries no later than 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013. Please submit early to avoid being closed out. Applicable USS Rules shall govern this competition. Maryland Swimming rules shall also apply where appropriate. USS/Maryland Swimming Safety Guidelines and warm-up procedures will be in effect for the entire meet. No one will be permitted in the competition area unless they are registered with USS as an athlete or as a non-athlete working at the meet. The only exception is for the Timers and Administrative Staff assisting with the conduct of the meet. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone camera, is not allowed in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. (USA Swimming, Article 305.3) Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement The practice of Deck Changing is prohibited. Swimmers must use the locker rooms to change into and out of their swimsuits. Swimmers participating in deck changing would be in violation of the USA Swimming Code of Conduct/Sportsmanship policy and could be subject to removal from further competition in the meet. There will be positive check-in for all Friday events by 4:30 PM. All Friday session swimmers must provide their own timers. Swimmers in the 500 Free shall provide their own counter. Rosette ribbons will be awarded for places 1-3 for each event. Ribbons will be awarded for places 4-6 for each event Relay ribbons will be awarded for places 1-3 Awards are only for swimmers 14 and younger. Meet Results will be available for download or printing from the Maryland Swimming Website (http://www.mdswim.org) shortly after the meet. Teams will also be emailed with the results file. Heat Sheets will be made available at all sessions at a nominal cost. A limited snack bar will be available during the meet. A Coaches/Officials hospitality room will also be provided.
