every horse on an individual basis. These include boarding for retired or aging horses,

Full Care Boarders
Full Care boarders are boarded at a rate of $500.00 per month
Horses staying with us under full care status enjoy large roomy 12x12 stalls, lighted with a
window facing the isle and the outside paddock. An automatic heated watering device is available
in each stall, and individual turn out paddocks are available. Our Licensed Veterinary Technician
upon arrival, will evaluate each horse. A feeding plan will be developed according to the owner’s
request, and the horse’s nutritional requirements. Each horse will be wormed with Ivermectin
paste every other month. Each horse will be turned out every day weather permitting. Included in
the price, full time boarders have unlimited access to our regulation lighted riding ring and full
access to all trails on the 165 acre property.
Field Boarders
Field boarded horses are boarded at a rate of $350.00 per month
Horses being boarded at Cedar Grove that require pasture only will have access to a run in shed
and during the winter months will be fed hay. Owners will have access to lighted regulation ring
and access to all trails on the 165-acre property.
Pregnant mares are boarded at a rate of $ 350.00 per month in a separate paddock and
will be fed twice daily as decided by the owner. Mares with a foal at their side are
charged additional $75.00 per month until foal is weaned.
Foals (weaned) in initial basic training up to one year old are boarded at $225.00 per
month, thereafter $350.00 per month (plus training charges).
Recuperating horses requiring constant barn or stall confinement due to a need for
continuous attention and/or blanketing are charged at full board price of $ 500.00 per
month. Additional charges for medical treatments or supplies will apply. If moved to an
outside run for minimal movement during recuperation the rate reduces to $ 350.00 per
month until returned to their owner or a pasture.

FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OUR BOARDERS:
1. The State Of Virginia requires any horse(s) transported into the State to have a Coggins Test
within six (6) months prior to such transportation. A Certificate of Veterinarian Inspection and/or
State Brand Inspection is often also required but always recommended. Your local veterinarian or
professional transporter cab confirm what is required in the states through which you will be
transporting. Owners must provide a copy of negative coggins to be kept in horses file at Cedar
Grove.
2. All horses will be quarantined for a period of two (2) weeks before being released into the
general population or allowed to have any contact with other boarders.
3. During the Quarantine Period each horse will receive a complete physical examination
including, at our option, additional blood testing by a local veterinarian to insure a sound and
disease free condition.
We reserve the right to refuse boarding of any horse(s) that, solely in our opinion,
embraces a disposition and/or frequently demonstrates behavior that we feel could be
detrimental or dangerous to other boarders and/or our Farm personnel. Transportation
costs to return your horse will be the responsibility of the owner.
