Classroom Rules and Expectations continued…
Students will be allowed three restroom/water fountain passes over the course of this quarter
class. Students must sign out on the restroom sign out sheet and take the yellow hall pass.
If absent, the student will need to come see me during the morning session (8:00-8:45) on his/her
first day back to discuss what was missed. For every one day missed, students will be allowed
two days to make up the assigned work unless otherwise arranged with me. Work not made up
will result in a zero. It is the student’s responsibility to make up any missing work.
Work collected on days absent is entered into the grade book as a zero and absence is noted.
When work is handed in, the grade is entered. Missing work goes into the grade book as a zero
until the work is handed in.
Homework Policy
 All work must be turned in at the beginning of class on the date assigned.
 For all work turned in late, 10% will be deducted from the grade for each day late.
 Students will be allowed one free pass on a late assignment. Use this wisely!
Discipline Issues
This class will be run on a three strike policy.
 Strike One: Verbal Warning
 Strike Two: Student will be moved away from the disturbance, either by moving to
another part of the classroom or by moving to the hallway for a few minutes until they
are ready to rejoin the class. Parents may also receive a phone call or email to discuss the
behavior.
 Strike Three: Student will be removed from room and will be sent to the Dean of
Students to discuss further action.
 For severe incidences, students will be sent immediately to a member of the
administration.
