Current R & D work undertaken in the field of Nanotechnology:
(1) Synthesis of Silver nanoparticles using plant extracts;
(2) Use of nanotechnology (nano particles, nano vesicles etc) for gene delivery
into the plants;
(3) Improving the nutritional status of foods/ beverages with the use of
nanotechnology (especially dairy products);
(4) Increasing the efficacy of foliar sprays of the following by preparing their
nano-emulsions of pesticides, herbicides, micronutrients, plant growth
regulators, etc and
(5) Changing the soil surface properties and improving the water use efficiency
using nanotechnology.
