Over the past few years, volunteers led by Ron Turner, under the guidance of
Michèle B. McQuigg, Clerk of the Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas
Park Circuit Court, have undertaken the task of digitizing Prince William County
Court Documents, many of which date to the 1700s. Ms. McQuigg will explain the
process of digitizing these important artifacts and will discuss important and
previously unknown, historical information that was discovered in the process.
Michèle McQuigg, a resident of Prince William County since 1973, has served the citizens
of the County of Prince William and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park as Clerk of
Circuit Court since January 1, 2008. Previously, she was a member of the Virginia House
of Delegates representing the 51st District (1998-2007), Occoquan District Supervisor on
the Prince William Board of County Supervisors (1992-1998), and citizen activist.
