Studying of Laser Induced Periodic Parallel structure (LIPPS) gave knowledge about speed of surface’s
erosion under femtosecond laser irradiation. Creation and self organization of periodic structure on
the surface is the result of interference of laser beam on the surface and modulation of erosion rate
by surface’s shape. So, a small crater with a sharp profile will be mostly sublimated. This aspect
allows us to drill a deep channel with diameter much smaller then beam’s diameter. An experimental
study will follow.
