September 9, 2015 – First Day of School Message
Welcome Students and Families to the 2015-2016 School Year!
The first day of school for the 2015-2016 School year is Wednesday, September 9th. All
students must report to school by 7:45 am. Grade nine students are asked to enter the
school building through the front entrance - main door. Tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade
students are asked to enter the building through the D - wing auditorium entrance.
All students will report to a Program Distribution room according to the first letter of
their last name. Program distribution room assignments are posted on our school’s
website at www.tottenvillehs.net. We ask that students visit the website prior to
September 9th to obtain these room numbers. Program distribution rooms will also be
posted for students to view when entering the school on September 9th.
There will be a full day of instruction on the first day of school and dismissal will be held
at 2:20 p m. for students scheduled for periods 1 through 8. Please view the new school
schedule on our website.
Bus service provided by the MTA will be available for students.
Yellow bus service will also be available for those students who have been approved for
special bus transportation.
Students are reminded to complete summer reading and reader’s journal assignments
which are due to English teachers the first day of school.
We look forward to seeing our students on September 9th and we wish our Tottenville
families a successful school year.
