Background:
Based on the readings, lecturettes, assignments, and discussions
prepare a weekly blog that details your learning. A blog is a kind
of web-based journal, often with pictures and other multimedia
included. There is lots of simple software on the Internet to make
blogs. About the easiest one I know is Blogger (see
http://www.blogger.com/home ).
Components of the Assignment:
1. Before the second week of class, post the URL for your weblog in the threaded Discussion
indicated for that purpose in the Course’s eCompanion site. Use concrete practical examples,
artifacts on the web, and references to the literature. Make sure to conduct research, evaluate
resources, and post your findings on topics related to those we are covering in the course.
2. Write in complete sentences and use photographs and graphics. The blog will be graded on
the depth and creativity you portray as well as the insight of your commentary.
3. At least some of the blog entries should use an artifact (something characteristic which
represents or contradicts the principle idea or ideas of something we have been studying in
the course. The artifact could come from a training web site, for example. The artifacts must
be in digital format. Along with the artifact, you should include a reflective statement clearly
describing what the artifact is and why the artifact demonstrates, symbolizes, or exemplifies
the idea or principle.
