PRESS RELEASE 16 February 2015 AGRICULTURAL HONOURS FOR COGENT’S INNES DRUMMOND Innes Drummond, UK Operations Manager for Cogent Breeding Ltd, has had his significant work for the commercialisation of sexed semen recognised by the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE). Innes, who has been with Cogent since 1998, was presented with RAS Associate Membership at a ceremony held on 4th February at the House of Lords. The honour was awarded by Baroness Byford, President of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers and a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society. Associate Membership is awarded to applicants who can demonstrate to two assessors, a significant contribution in all aspects of practical farming, including research, economics, commercial and administration. Innes has worked within the bovine AI industry for more than 29 years. In that time, he has played a significant role in developing Cogent as a global semen producer as well as taking research science to a commercial reality within sexed semen. This cycle of continual improvement is still the focus for Innes, ensuring Cogent produces semen products to the highest standards for its customers while keeping at the forefront of reproductive technologies for the cattle breeding industry.
