AGRICULTURAL HONOURS FOR COGENT’S INNES DRUMMOND
Innes Drummond, UK Operations Manager for Cogent Breeding Ltd, has had his
significant work for the commercialisation of sexed semen recognised by the
Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE).
Innes, who has been with Cogent since 1998, was presented with RAS Associate

British Dairy Farmers and a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society.
Associate Membership is awarded to applicants who can demonstrate to two

research, economics, commercial and administration.
Innes has worked within the bovine AI industry for more than 29 years. In that
time, he has played a significant role in developing Cogent as a global semen
producer as well as taking research science to a commercial reality within sexed
semen.
This cycle of continual improvement is still the focus for Innes, ensuring Cogent
produces semen products to the highest standards for its customers while
keeping at the forefront of reproductive technologies for the cattle breeding
industry.
Speaking of his achievement, Innes said: “I am greatly honoured to have been
appointed as an Associate of the Royal Agricultural Society. Being a part of the
development of sexed semen has been a great experience but we cannot stop
improving performance. Moving forward, exploring operational efficiencies and
technical performance is key to staying at the forefront of reproductive,
biological advancements for the benefit of UK farming and beyond.”
