It does not constitute an Annual Review. IEP Review – An IEP Review is when you review all the components of an IEP. An IEP Review is required annually and at all reevaluations. This is the “Annual Review” that we are referring to below. I. DURATION The date that is on the IEP on Page One in the top left corner next to the box entitled IEP Revision is the date you will refer to when planning the “Annual Review” meeting. On or before that date you must conduct your “Annual Review” (Please refer to your binder for step by step directions in conducting the “annual Review”). You may not, for any reason, extend the IEP past that date. You may conduct the “Annual Review” any time before that date. When you conduct the “Annual Review”, the date of the meeting becomes the due date for the next “Annual Review”. At a reevaluation, it is required to review the goals and objectives and then revise the IEP based on the new eligibility document. This means that at the reevaluation, you will be writing a “new”, revised IEP after you review the current IEP. The date of the meeting will now be the date of the student’s “Annual Review”. Coordinate with all staff involved in completing the reevaluation so that this process can take place. II. QUARTERLY PROGESS REPORTS Quarterly progress reports are a separate requirement and cannot be confused with the “Annual Review” process. You will complete and send home quarterly progress report as often as all students receive report cards. If the “Annual Review” falls in close proximity to the required quarterly progress report, you can copy the reviewed goals and objectives and send them home with the report card. III. DOCUMENTATION When documenting dates for the reviewed IEP and the IEP revision, you may use the same date for all entries to include o o o o o Annual Review IEP Revision Projected completion of the goals and objectives Projected initiation dates Anticipated duration dates SERVING MONROE-RANDOLPH COUNTIES Chester Columbia Coulterville Prairie Du Rocher Red Bud Sparta Steeleville Valmeyer Waterloo Example: Sissy has a meeting on March 1. The current IEP is dated as an Annual Review on March 1. the revised IEP is dated as an IEP revision on March 1. The projected completion date for the goals and objectives can be dated March 1 of the next school year. If appropriate, the projected initiation date and the anticipated duration may be listed as March 1 with consecutive years. Important to remember – You cannot have any of these dates total up to more than one year. It is appropriate to list separate minutes of services on the IEP for the remainder of the current year and the next school year. For example: a student going from 8th grade to high school may have different minutes of service from one program to the next. The team, which normally involves the high school special education teacher, could indicate the minutes for both programs, or the high school teacher could adjust the minutes as needed at the beginning of the next school year with a telephone IEP meeting or an Amendment Form (if the change is minor). Send to Perandoe the original of the IEP that has been reviewed and the original of the Revised IEP that is written. IV. IEP PRO In the IEP Pro, on the Enter Student Data Page, there is a space to fill in the date of the Annual Review. That date is now linked to your Class Profile. Now, on the Class Profile, you can view, at a glance, your caseload and when your annual reviews are due. Perandoe will also double check the date of the Annual Review in the software when you send in your paperwork. To access your class profile, please follow these directions: o o o o o V. Log on to IEP Pro Go to the Enter Student Date Page first, then select “Find my cases” Click on Class Profile If you would like to see your students in alphabetical order, click on the heading “Student”. The caseload will now be in alphabetical order. (Hint: You can click on any heading that is bold and it will sort for you, so if you want to see your Annual Review dates in chronological order, click on that heading and it will sort by date.) If you would like to print this page, you can select the Print Icon on the page. On the first window you will need to select landscape. On the second window, leave the “Records Being Browsed” option open or selected. It will then print your caseload. If you select “Current Record” you will only print one line of the class profile. END OF YEAR SUMMARY REPORT (previously Annul Review Summary Report) At the end of the school year, you must account for each student on your caseload through the “End of Year Summary Report”. Any “Annual Review” paperwork that has not been turned in throughout the school year will accompany this form. IEP Pro includes the “End of Year Summary Report”. There are buttons at the top right that will help you pull up your records. Edit this page as needed and send to Perandoe before you leave for the summer.
