Childcare Enrichment Center Assistant Instructor (1 to 3 year old room)
Plan and implement the creative curriculum in accordance with the policies and philosophy of
the Department of Early Care and Learning. Candidate should be able to prepare and plan
activities ahead of time, observe and record the developmental progress of children in all
domains using “Gold Child Assessment” teaching strategies. Develop and utilize daily plans
which reflect mandated elements, parental and cultural influences, and promote the social,
emotional, physical, and cognitive development of infant and toddler children. Follow a
consistent schedule that meets individual needs, including small and large group experiences,
choice time, music and movement, large and small motor skills, skill development, meals, and
effective transitions between activities. Encourage the children in experimentation, exploration,
problem solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice making. Create a language rich
environment, including regular positive interactions. Nurture and support each child’s social
and emotional development. Provide an atmosphere that promotes and reinforces parental
involvement in the classroom. Provide written and verbal communication to parents on a daily
basis. Plan and conduct home and/or personal visits as authorized. Work with and encourage
parent and community volunteers. Collaborate with appropriate specialists in meeting the
needs of all children, including those with special needs. Follow “Individual Family Service
Plan” as appropriate. Meet the health and safety guidelines based on the Infant/Toddler
Environmental Rating Scale. Plan for the nutritional needs of the children including support for
the mothers who are breastfeeding. Attend meetings, trainings, and appropriate professional
development activities as assigned. Assist in planning and conducting parent conferences.
Accept other duties as assigned.
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education must be from a regionally accredited private
or public postsecondary institution. 1-2 years of experience as a teacher in a childcare facility
that used creative curriculum. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Expertise
with Microsoft Office Suite. CPR/First Aid certification.
Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education must be from a regionally accredited private or
public postsecondary institution. Fluent in a foreign language.
Must be able to work Monday thru Friday.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
