JOB DESCRIPTION - COUNSELOR
Qualifications:
Age: 18 years of age and older
Education: Minimum Freshman standing in college
Playing Experience: College team, tournament, or high school team
Job Experience: Some tennis teaching and/or counseling experience preferred
Character: Must be of outstanding character and able to serve as a role model
for the campers
Other: Must be able to supervise children both on court and off as well being
able to get along with other members of the staff
Reports To: Head counselor, assistant director, or director
Responsible For: Supervision of children off court and instruction of children on court.
Will also be required to supervise and/or participate in other camp social and athletic
activities. May be assigned other responsibilities, e.g., camp banker, equipment
manager, etc.
Dates of Employment: June 26 - August 20 plus staff training
Time Off: A minimum of two nights per week and a minimum of two weekends (Friday
after dinner through Sunday at 10 AM) per summer

Special Considerations: Each counselor receives some equipment and clothing from
the camp sponsor
