Kids love it. After each swim yell the name of a listed rock band or race horse. Then say “rock band”. Swimmer raise hand to vote. Then yell a “race horse”, with voters raising their hand. After each round swimmers tell the number of seconds below (-) or above (+) Lochte’s 1:52 LC (26+28+33+25). The odd 50’s are FAST, even 50’s are OVERKICKING. FIRECRACKER 400: On July 4th divide the team into two groups, alternating heats, on a 400 Fly, 400 Back, 400 Breast, 400 Free, and 400 IM. Each swimmer records times on a card. Total times determine places. The winner gets a cherry pie. Handicap times by subtracting the difference ON EVERY SWIM, between their 400 IM and the team’s best 400 IM.
