Sarah Verbiest is the Executive Director of the Center for Maternal and Infant Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Center provides direct clinical services to high risk mothers and infants, conducts health services research, coordinates statewide programs, and provides patient and health care professional education. Prior to her tenure with UNC, she served as the state program director for the March of Dimes for 7 years. She has worked in the field of maternal and infant health for over 14 years. She serves as the co-chair for the Governor’s Perinatal Health Committee and on the board of the NC Perinatal Association. Sarah has her masters in social work and in public health from the UNC Schools of Social Work and Public Health. She is currently a DrPH candidate in Health Policy and Administration, also at UNC.
