Host: Corvallis Aquatic Team Host Facility: Osborn Aquatic Center, 1940 NW Highland Dr., Corvallis OR 97333 Eligibility: Swimmers must currently be registered with USA Swimming. Swimmers must be within entered age brackets as of July 25, 2015. Entry Deadlines: Entry acceptance period begins at noon on Monday, June 29, 2015. NO EARLIER PLEASE! Team Manager event file will be available on the CAT website by Monday, June 15, 2015. Final entry deadline is 5:00 PM, Friday, July 17, 2015. Entry Limit: Swimmers may enter a maximum of five events – one event in each stroke plus an individual medley event. Meet Format: All events will be swum as timed finals. The session will be limited to four hours. Entry Fees: $12.00 Surcharge (includes admission to Osborn Aquatic Center/Otter Beach) $3.00 Individual entry per event Entry fees should be paid before the start of the meet. Facility: Competition Pool–8 lanes, 7-foot, 25-meter lanes, 30-inch tilted blocks. Depth: 6 feet to 13 feet. Warm-up Pool–Shallow end east of bulkhead, 3 1/2 feet to 6 feet. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2 C(4). Seating: Air-conditioned, sound insulated, balcony seating for 270. Chair and bleacher seating on deck. Only those parents who are timing are allowed in the marked competition area. Timing: Daktronics timing system, horn start, and finish touch pads. Results via electronic scoreboard. Names will appear as received in meet entries. Pool Hours: The facility will be open to meet participants and spectators from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm. Meet participants will also receive admission to Osborn/Otter Beach open recreation from 1:00-6:00 pm. Those family members staying for open recreation should pay for admission prior to 1:00. Times: Warm-ups: 7:30 am Competition: 8:30 am Rules: Current USA Swimming and Oregon Swimming, Inc. rules will govern this competition. Safety: Current Oregon Swimming Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect and strictly enforced. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing racing starts or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Restrictions: No glass containers, tobacco products of any kind, or alcoholic beverages are allowed in the pool facility. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. No parents or non-competing children are allowed in the competition area (swimmers, timers, officials and coaches only.) Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. Photography is not allowed behind the blocks during starts and relay exchanges. Bullpen: A bullpen will be provided for the 8 & Under events. 9-10 year old swimmers shall report directly to their assigned lanes. Awards: Pentathlon: Top 6 point scorers in girls and boys ages 7 & under, 8, 9, and 10 will receive trophies Individual events: Swimmers achieving A times will receive a certificate. Swimmers achieving B and C times will be awarded ribbons for the top 8 places in each event/division/age group (girls and boys ages 7 & under, 8, 9, and 10.) Heat prizes: All heat winners will receive prizes. Meetings: Officials meeting will be held approximately 60 minutes prior to the start of the meet. Coaches meeting will be 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet. The uniform for officials will be white over blue, with white shoes. Officials and Coaches shall display USA Swimming credentials with current certification when on deck. A hospitality area will be provided with continental breakfast, snacks, and drinks. Timers: Each team will be given lane-timing assignments. Sign-ups will behind the blocks in the competition area. Camping: No OVERNIGHT CAMPING - multiple parking lots, shared with adjacent school, are available for RVs for day use only. There are no outside toilet facilities. Open recreation includes access to all Osborn pools including the outdoor recreational pool, “Otter Beach.” Family members and other spectators may purchase open recreation admission beginning at 12:00 pm in the Osborn lobby. Rates are $5 for adults, $4 for youth ages 7-17, $2.75 for children ages 0-6, and $2.50 for deck spectators. There is also a family rate available for $6.50 plus $2.50 per person.
