** TA position available due to unfilled position ** DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY, ANTHROPOLOGY & CRIMINOLOGY NOTICE RE: TEACHING ASSISTANT (TA) POSITION AVAILABLE FOR WINTER TERM 2016 In accordance with Article 12:01 of the CUPE 4580 Collective Agreement the Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology invites applications for a TA position for the Winter 2016 term as follows: Course 02-48-227 Globalization Development & Social Change Expected Duties Teaching labs, marking assignments and exams. Proctoring exams as needed by the department. Administration of student evaluation of teaching. Preferred Eligibility Requirements # of positions Background in development and/ or globalization would be useful but not mandatory. 2 Duration for above position; January 4, 2016 – April 30, 2016. (6) TA positions for 100 hours total. Eligibility requirements: TA appointments shall be offered to qualified applicants in accordance with the criteria specified in Article 12:04 of the CUPE 4580 Collective Agreement. Teaching Assistants cannot be employed for more that 100 hours per semester total. If you already hold or have applied for another TA position (in this or another department), Your total combined hours for all TA appointments held in all departments cannot exceed 100 hours.
