GRADE 9 APPLIED ELECTRICITY CULMINATING
ASSIGNMENT
THE MOTHER OF ALL BEDROOMS!
Ok, so you’ve been given a blank cheque to make your room into your dream
room. Put any electronic device in that you want. Game consoles, a booming
stereo and kickin’ lighting. Most important will be the appliances (fridge,
microwave, etc.) that you put into your room. You will need all the necessities to
never have to leave your haven… except to visit the facilities. Start with a
drawing. Use the rectangle on the next page to design your room, putting in the
electrical appliances, lights and electronics. You can cut and paste picture from
the internet if you’d like or draw them yourself. Don’t forget to put in your
outlets as well, so that you can plug your stuff in. Once you have put in all your
stuff, you’ll calculate the yearly amount of electricity you will use and the cost.
