MEDIA ALERT 19 June 2015 Gauteng government announce billions in infrastructure plans On Tuesday 23 June 2015, the Gauteng Infrastructure Development (GDID) MEC Ms. Nandi Mayathula-Khoza will table her department’s 2015/16 Budget Vote. This budget is expected to cover a number of new social infrastructure projects for health, education, heritage and other social development projects running into billions of Rands. Earlier this year, Gauteng Premier David Makhura in his state of the Province address, announced massive infrastructure development programmes. He said the Gauteng Provincial Government would investment more than R32 billion in infrastructure development in the next four years. The Budget Vote Speech by MEC Mayathula-Khoza is expected to unpack some of these projects.
