Relating Research to Practice Award AERA This award is meant to stimulate and recognize outstanding contributions that individuals have made to increasing practitioner and lay-group understanding of the contributions of educational research to the improvement of educational practice. Review of Research Award AERA Given in recognition of an outstanding review of research article appearing in the Review of Research in Education and the Review of Educational Research. Social Justice in Education Award AERA In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision, the 40th anniversary of the passage of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the 30th anniversary of the Lau v. Nichols decision, the Social Justice Action Committee launches a new award—the Social Justice in Education Award—and invites nominations of individuals who have advanced social justice through education research. The recipient of the award should exemplify the goal of linking education research to social justice. Presidential Citation AERA Accorded to individuals for distinguished service and/or significant contributions to educational research.
