consistent with the Donor's interest and intentions.
An annual scholarship to a deserving student in the

research in any field of educational inquiry within the first decade following receipt of their doctoral degree.
E.F. Lindquist Award
AERA
This award is co-sponsored by AERA and ACT and given annually for outstanding applied or theoretical research
in the field of testing and measurement. It acknowledges a body of research, as opposed to a single work.
Outstanding Book Award
AERA
To be considered for the Award, a book must be concerned with the improvement of the educational process
through research or scholarly inquiry, must have a research base, and must have a copyright date of the past
two years in the year in which the award is to be given.
Palmer O. Johnson Memorial Award

This award to be given for an outstanding article appearing in an AERA-Sponsored publication.
Relating Research to Practice Award

This award is meant to stimulate and recognize outstanding contributions that individuals have made to
increasing practitioner and lay-group understanding of the contributions of educational research to the

Given in recognition of an outstanding review of research article appearing in the Review of Research in
Education and the Review of Educational Research.
Social Justice in Education Award
AERA
In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision, the 40th anniversary of the
passage of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the 30th anniversary of the Lau v. Nichols decision, the
Social Justice Action Committee launches a new award—the Social Justice in Education Award—and invites
nominations of individuals who have advanced social justice through education research. The recipient of the
award should exemplify the goal of linking education research to social justice.
