The European Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Stavros Dimas comments on the
developments of European Waste Policy
The European Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Stavros Dimas and Environment Ministers from
Spain and Belgium will be present at the International conference on "How to Better Regulate Waste
Prevention, Reuse, Recycling and composting at the European Level ?" in Brussels on 19-20
June
This conference is organised by the Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling (ACR+) with the
Brussels Institute for the Management of the Environment, (IBGE-BIM) and the Instituto para la
Sostenibilidad de los Recursos (ISR) in partnership with the CEMR, EEB, RREUSE and WRAP.
Besides positions from main political representatives, this conference will allow to present and to debate
positions of public and private waste management actors in Europe during roundtables on
- Waste Prevention
- Reuse
- Organic waste management
- Recycling
This event appears thus as a main event no to be missed by all those concerned by Europe of Waste, ecoproducts and resources.
