Parent-Senior Meeting April 17, 2012 6:30 p.m. Agenda Ms. Owens -congratulations -expectations, tone of commencement/dignified, etc -Graduation Agreement—still several that need to be turned in—need this signed in order to receive you cap and gown. Do this if you haven’t done so already! You are responsible for knowing your credit standing. If you have any question about whether or not you have enough credits—see your counselor immediately. Any seniors taking BYU correspondence courses must have your deadlines met. See your counselor immediately if you do not. Senior Pranks Ms. Eichman Graduation Information—go over handouts: Graduation Information and Important Dates -Red Rocks: Friday, May 25th at 2:00 p.m. Gates open at 1:00 p.m. no tickets needed Rain Plan—GMHS Gym—only 2 tickets per family can be issued (at first rehearsal). Elderly/disabled guest info—Elderly/Disabled ticket request forms available and due by May 7th . Tickets available in main office May 14th for pick-up. -Graduation Rehearsals : May 23rd 10:00 a.m. / distribute caps & gowns Plan for about 2 hours—you must be there for the entire rehearsal—plan accordingly! May 25th 12:00 noon / Rehearsal, bus ride to Red Rocks -bring cap & gown with you (you may want to iron it with a cool iron and bring safety pins for shawl) -arrange for your ride home from Red Rocks—parents, etc. -Financial Obligations -$70.00 Graduation fee—-All fees and fines must be paid before receiving your cap & gown To find out if your senior has any outstanding fees/fines or to pay fees and fines, you may use the PaySchools link found on our homepage. This is a great way to take care of these obligations quickly and easily. Karen Garrett, our financial secretary can also answer any questions —- questions 303-982-9511 ALL financial obligations must be paid by May 18th –the list is posted by the financial office by student number. Some students owe a substantial amount. Please call Ms Garrett in the financial office if you have any questions or feel your student my have an outstanding fee or fine. -Cap & gowns are keepers—please press them and bring them to Rehearsal #2/Ride to Red Rocks $10.00 parking fee per car at Red Rocks. An ATM machine is available at the box office, if needed. To avoid traffic –consider using the South Entrance -Shuttle vans will be available for transporting disabled/elderly guests from Upper South Lot at Red Rocks to the backstage entrance. Information will distributed at the first rehearsal along with “rain tickets.” -Guests in wheelchairs- may drive to backstage entrance to drop off passenger then, find a parking place if you choose not to use our shuttle service. -Videographer and photographer will be at the ceremony.
