Research Assistant Program, African Department
 Team member on two missions for the Policy Support Instrument (PSI) to Cape Verde.
Participated in program negotiations for the PSI with the Ministry of Finance and the Central
Bank.
 Presented major findings on the recent trends in remittances to Cape Verde to the Governor of
the Central Bank and Minister of Finance.
 Carry out both research and statistical work, including application of advanced applied
econometric techniques for IMF staff reports and papers.
 Examine cross country macroeconomic data and carry out interpretation of empirical results
pertaining to macro-economic and structural adjustment topics.
 Use the IMF financial programming techniques to forecast various economic indicators for the
World Economic Outlook.
 Improve database management for better sharing of information amongst various country teams
and restructuring of sector files.
 Produce daily graphs, tables and news reports for relevant country updates.
 Assist in the production of documents, working papers and publications, including drafting
notes and preparing technical annexes (i.e. indicating sources, definitions, methods of calculation
etc.).
