You are a role model for the coming generation who, even more than today, must protect the
environment. Be a part of stopping global warming.
Drop the little trips
Think again before turning the key in the ignition, short car rides are very bad for the environment.
Lower the washing temperature – and have just as clean clothes
Turn the temperature knob on the washing machine down just one step; wash your clothes at a
slightly lower temperature than normally.
Take your cell phone charger out of the socket when you are not using it
Even though the cell phone is not in the charger, the charger uses electricity if it is plugged in
Use energy saver bulbs – and make significant savings
Start using energy saver bulbs everywhere possible – or exchange 60 watt bulbs with 40 watt bulbs.
Turn off standby use – try using a power strip
Using a power strip you can easily turn of standby consumption.
Save money in the shower
Take shorter showers, thus saving hot water.
Take the train/bus and achieve your climate vow
Take the train or the bus. If you need to drive a car, drive with others.
Save money and energy in the kitchen
Don’t use pots and pans that are smaller than the hotplate, cook as much as possible using the
residual heat and use lids when possible.
Buy more Danish products
When you buy Danish products instead of foreign you save CO2 on the transport.
The most efficient environmental tip: drop a single flight
No other form of transport causes such a big emission of greenhouse gasses per person as planes
do.
Buy a CE certified refrigerator/freezer
If you choose a refrigerator or a freezer that has the highest CE certificate you can reduce the
power consumption significantly.
Dry your clothes outside – and get a lower power bill
Drop the tumbler – reduces your energy consumption and saves the environment from rather a
large amount of the greenhouse gas CO2.
