Catholic Charities, Diocese of Fort Worth, Inc. Job Posting JOB TITLE: Case Aide PROGRAM: Refugee Services JOB SUMMARY This job starts immediately and runs through September 30, 2011. The job will be 30-40 hours per week. The purpose of the Case Aide position is to connect clients with community services and programs necessary to help the client successfully comply with applicable regulations and to achieve early selfsufficiency. The Case Aide's primary function is to provide essential and concrete services, including language and culture interpretation, to refugees and other program staff. The Case Aide serves as the link between the client and available community supports. Examples of tasks include interpretation for other program staff, taking clients to appointments and job interviews, helping clients fill out job applications, providing orientation and/or training in collaboration with other program staff, and completing forms and reports to thoroughly document services provided. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Accompanies client to employment sites to complete job applications and job interviews. 2. Interpreting for other programs and community organizations. 3. Conducts orientation and/or training activities to help clients adjust to life in the local community. 4. Report observations and concerns regarding client functioning to Case Managers to ensure optimal development of the service plan, and prompt and appropriate response to client needs. 5. Serve as link between Catholic Charities and refugee communities to increase awareness of program services. Attend community events to represent Catholic Charities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Include but not limited to: 1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 2. Computer skills 3. Applicant MUST be able to speak English and at least one of the following refugee languages: Burmese, Somali, Swahili or Tigrinya. 4. Familiarity with refugee populations and their needs Work Hours: Regular office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
